Why This Tool Is Useful
Plenty of places will not take a PDF: social posts, chat apps, slide decks, marketplace listings, and many web forms all want an image. Converting pages to JPG or PNG makes the content usable anywhere. Because the rendering happens locally, you can convert private documents without handing them to a conversion service, and there is no watermark stamped across the result.
JPG or PNG?
JPG uses lossy compression and produces small files, which suits scanned pages and anything photographic. PNG is lossless, so text, tables, diagrams, and screenshots stay perfectly sharp with no compression fuzz around the letters — at the cost of a noticeably larger file.
As a rule of thumb: a scanned photo page becomes a JPG, a page of text or a chart becomes a PNG.
Resolution and Readability
Pages are rendered at twice their natural size, which keeps small text legible when you zoom in or place the image in a slide. That is a deliberate trade: images are bigger than the on-screen page, but readable. If you need something smaller afterwards, run the result through an image compressor or resizer.
What You Lose in the Conversion
An image is a picture of the page, not the page itself. Converting means text is no longer selectable or searchable, links stop working, and screen readers can no longer read the content. That is fine when the goal is to show a page, but keep the original PDF if the text still matters.
Large Documents
Rendering is real work for your device, so a long or image-heavy PDF takes time and memory. The first 50 pages are converted, which covers the overwhelming majority of documents; for anything longer, split the file first and convert each part.
