How to Use

Upload a PDF and the tool reads its page count. Type the pages you want in the box — for example 1-3, 5, 8-10 — and the tool tells you how many pages that selects. Click Extract pages to download a new PDF containing only those pages, in ascending order. The original file on your computer is untouched.

Why This Tool Is Useful

Often you only need part of a document: one chapter from a long report, the signature page of a contract, or a single invoice out of a monthly batch. Sending the whole file wastes everyone's time and may share more than you intended. Extracting exactly the pages you need is faster and safer, and doing it locally means confidential pages never pass through a third-party server.

How to Write a Page Selection

The page box accepts three things: a single page (5), a range (1-3), or a comma-separated combination of both (1-3, 5, 8-10). Pages are numbered from 1, matching what you see in your PDF reader. Duplicates are ignored and the output is always ordered from lowest page to highest.

Splitting vs Deleting Pages

There are two ways to get to the same document. Splitting keeps the pages you name and discards everything else, which is quickest when you want a small slice of a big file. Deleting removes the pages you name and keeps the rest, which is quicker when you want to drop a couple of pages from an otherwise complete document. Use whichever means less typing.

Quality and Layout

Extracted pages are copied rather than re-rendered, so text stays selectable, images keep their resolution, and page dimensions are unchanged. A page that was landscape stays landscape; an A3 page stays A3.
